How to get gifts on TikTok LIVE
Viewers send gifts for a reason: they want attention, and they want the gift to change something. This article tells how to give them these reasons and why chat games help you get more gifts.

How to get more gifts in short
To get gifts on a stream, you must be 18 or older and have access to TikTok LIVE. If you do not have the LIVE button yet, first read how to grow your TikTok LIVE.
Why viewers send gifts
A viewer almost always has a reason to send a gift:
- To get attention. A gift shows the name of the viewer on the screen, and the streamer says it aloud.
- To change the stream. The viewer wants the gift to do something: select a topic, help a team or open a hint.
- To help in a battle. In a streamer battle (LIVE Match), gifts decide who wins.
- To support the streamer. This happens, but mostly with regular viewers.
A new viewer does not know the streamer, so the last reason does not work for that viewer. The first three reasons work from the first minute of a stream. This article tells you how to use them.
Give each gift an action on the screen
A gift with no action is an animation of two seconds. A gift with an action is a move in a game that all viewers see. The viewer knows why to send the gift and sees the result at once.
So streamers add games that the chat plays. Viewers play with messages, and a gift gives a player an advantage: a hint, a shield or one more ball.

Tiny Diny10 coins

Paper Crane99 coins
In Pogzo games, the streamer selects what a gift does and its price. These are some default prices:
| Game | What the gift does | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Contextno | Hint word | 1 coin: Rose |
| Contextno | Next letter of the word | 30 coins: Doughnut |
| Word Reveal | Opens the next letter | 1 coin: Rose |
| Word Reveal | Skips the word | 30 coins: Doughnut |
| Flag Quiz | Opens a letter of the name | 1 coin: Rose |
| Flag Quiz | Shows the part of the world | 5 coins: Finger Heart |
| Snake | Golden apple | 5 coins: Finger Heart |
| Trivia | Double points for the question | 5 coins: Finger Heart |
| Would You Rather? | Shakes the pile of balls | 10 coins: Tiny Diny |
| Ball Royale | Shield for 5 seconds | 10 coins: Tiny Diny |
| Ball Royale | Second chance: back into the battle | 30 coins: Doughnut |
| Land Grab | Boss for the team | 99 coins: Paper Crane |
| Snake | Feast: 40 apples on the board | 99 coins: Paper Crane |
The game shows on the screen what each gift does, with a picture of the gift. So a viewer does not have to ask in the chat what a Rose does.

Start with gifts of 1 coin
The first gift is the most difficult. A viewer who sent a Rose often sends gifts again, and sometimes larger gifts. So give an action to a gift of 1 coin. A Rose costs about one cent, so even a viewer on their first stream can send it.
You also need expensive actions, but they work when viewers already send gifts. A good price ladder is: 1 coin for a small action, 10 to 30 coins for an action that people see, and 99 coins or more for an action that changes all of the game. To see all prices, read TikTok gift prices.
Say thanks for each gift, by name
Say the name of the viewer and what the gift did: "Thanks for the Rose, Alex! We open a letter!" The viewer sees that you noticed. Other viewers see that people send gifts here and that a gift is not lost.
Do not say thanks only for expensive gifts. If a streamer is happy about a Lion and says nothing about Roses, the viewers with Roses stop sending them.
Set a stream goal
TikTok lets you set a stream goal (LIVE Goals), for example 100 Roses before the stream ends. All viewers see the goal bar, and each gift moves it forward. Say what happens when the chat gets to the goal: a new game, a challenge or answers to questions.
The goal must be possible. If your stream usually gets 30 Roses, set a goal of 50, not 1,000. A bar that does not move gives no motivation.
Streamer battles
In a battle (LIVE Match), two streamers compete for the most gifts in a few minutes. The viewers of both streams see the score and send gifts so that their streamer wins. A battle gives the same reason as a game: the gift decides something.
Select streamers of a similar size. You will almost always lose a battle with a much larger streamer, and your viewers see this.
What not to do
- Do not beg for gifts. Messages such as "please send anything" make new viewers go away. Give a reason to send a gift.
- Do not promise actions that break the TikTok rules. TikTok can turn off gifts or restrict your account.
- Do not buy fake gifts. Gifts from bought accounts bring no real viewers, and your account can get restrictions.
How much a streamer gets for gifts
For a gift of 1 coin, the streamer gets about 1 diamond: about $0.005. This is about half of what the viewer paid. To learn how to count diamonds and withdraw them, read about TikTok diamonds.
Summary
Viewers send gifts when a gift decides something. Give each gift an action on the screen, start with Roses, say thanks by name and set a stream goal. Chat games do much of this for you: viewers play with messages, and gifts make moves that all viewers see.
You can try Pogzo games for free: 40 minutes of stream with games a day cost nothing. To see a game with gifts, open the stream demo.
