Secret Word — a stream game where all the chat finds a 5-letter word

The game hides a word of five letters. The viewers write words in the TikTok chat, and each word goes on a shared board with colored tiles: a green letter is in place, a yellow letter is in the word. Who writes the word first wins the round.

How to play

  1. 01

    The game hides a word of 5 letters

    The screen shows five empty tiles. The word is a common noun: “lemon”, “tiger”, “pizza”. The game has Russian and 8 more languages.

  2. 02

    Each word in the chat is a try

    A viewer writes any real word of 5 letters in the chat. It goes on the shared board with the avatar and the name. A word that is on the board already does not come again. Spaces are fine: “t i g e r”.

  3. 03

    The color of a tile is a clue

    A green letter is in its place. A yellow letter is in the word, in another place. A grey letter is not in the word. The keyboard at the bottom collects all that the chat found.

  4. 04

    Points for new letters

    Only a word that finds something new gets points: 2 points for a letter in place and 1 point for a new letter in the word. Who writes the word gets 10 more points.

  5. 05

    Hints when the chat is stuck

    When nobody finds a new letter for a minute, the game puts one letter in place. When the hints are used up, the game shows the answer and hides a new word.

What gifts do

A gift does the most expensive action that it pays for. The streamer turns each action on and sets its price in coins.

  • Remove 3 letters

    Default: 1 coin

    Marks grey three letters that the word does not have.

  • Find a letter

    Default: 5 coins

    Shows a letter of the word, but not its place.

  • Place a letter

    Default: 10 coins

    Puts one letter in its place. A gift never places the last two letters.

  • Skip the word

    Default: 30 coins

    Shows the answer and hides a new word. Off until the streamer turns it on.

Control during the stream

The streamer controls the game in the panel on the Pogzo site. Viewers see only the game.

  • Buttons during the stream

    “Place a letter”, “Pause”, “Skip the word” and “Reset points”. The panel shows the word only when you open it.

  • Until solved or timed

    A round with no timer goes on until someone finds the word. Or 1 to 10 minutes for a word.

  • Hints

    A hint after 30 seconds, 1, 1.5 or 2 minutes with no new letter, 1 to 3 hints for a word. You can turn the hints off.

  • Points

    1 to 3 points for a letter in place, 0 to 2 points for a new letter and 0 to 20 points for the word.

  • Language, tries and followers

    10 languages, a limit of words for a round and a game for followers only. Gifts work from all viewers.

How do I play Secret Word on a stream?

Open the panel of the game on pogzo.com and type your TikTok name. Add the game link to OBS or TikTok LIVE Studio. The game hides the words, and the viewers write words of 5 letters in the chat.

Which words does the game take?

Any real word of 5 letters, also in another form. The game knows more than 10,000 English words. Capital letters and accents are not important. The game does not show rude words.

What do the colors of the tiles mean?

Green: the letter is in its place. Yellow: the letter is in the word, in another place. Grey: the word does not have this letter. When the word has one “o” and the try has two, the second “o” is grey.

How do the points work?

Only a word that finds something new gets points: 2 points for a letter that it put in place first and 1 point for a new letter in the word. Who writes the word gets 10 more points. The streamer can change these numbers.

What do the gifts do?

A gift removes three letters that are not in the word, finds a letter of the word or puts a letter in place. A gift never opens the full word: the chat finds the last two letters itself. The streamer turns on each action and sets its price in coins.

What happens when nobody finds the word?

When nobody finds a new letter for a minute, the game puts one letter in place. After two hints and one more minute with no new letter, the game shows the answer and hides a new word.
